Unfortunately, due to lack of interest and registration, State Representative Joe Polletta (R-68) and State Senator Eric Berthel (R-32) were forced to cancel a forum for local seniors to learn tips and techniques to “Beat the Blues” throughout the year.

The legislators organized the event for Watertown and Oakville seniors, and those who provide care to older adults, to stop by, listen and learn directly from industry experts, Judith Stonger, MA, CPS, CARC, Vice President, Prevention, Wellness and Recovery, and Erin Leavitt-Smith, Asst. Director Statewide Services, Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), as they discussed elder issues and provided insight and tips on how to navigate the myriad issues facing seniors.
