Rep. Arthur O’Neill recently congratulated Nicholas Pietrini on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout during his Court of Honor Ceremony held at the United Church of Christ in Southbury.  Nick is a member of Southbury’s Boy Scout Troop 60.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), and the designation is more than  one hundred years old. Approximately, four percent of Boy Scouts achieve this rank, and to do so need to complete a lengthy review process, earn at least 21 merit badges and always demonstrate Scout Spirit.  Eagle Scout candidates must also complete an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages.
