HARTFORD – For a third year, State Representative Kathleen McCarty (R-38) has achieved a perfect one-hundred-percent voting record during the regular and special 2017 Legislative Sessions according to statistics compiled by the House Clerk’s Office.

This year, Rep. McCarty cast her vote on 417 separate pieces of legislation that made it to the House of Representatives – therefore not missing a single one. Perfect attendance is a very difficult thing to achieve, with only about 20% of legislators able to do so in any given year.

“I am proud to represent my constituents to the best of my ability with each and every vote that I take in the House of Representatives,” Rep. McCarty said. “I take very seriously the trust that my constituents have given to me to make the hard choices that affect their lives. It is my honor and responsibility to ensure that their voices are heard on issues facing the General Assembly. I will continue to work diligently for the residents of Waterford and Montville as I am dedicated to doing the job that has been entrusted to me.”

Rep. McCarty represents the 38th district in the General Assembly and is a second-term Republican lawmaker who serves on the legislature’s Internship, Appropriations, Education and Public Health Committees. She has also worked on the Legislative Tourism Caucus to boost Connecticut’s tourism industry.

The next regular session of the legislature will convene in February 2018.
