Aldi Opens in Waterford: Rep. McCarty Welcomes New Business

WATERFORD – Aldi Supermarkets opened a new branch, staffed mostly by local residents, on Boston Post Road in Waterford late last week. The German grocery chain, which carries both major brands and off-label groceries, had announced earlier in the week that it plans to expand to 2,500 stores nationwide by the end of 2022. State Representative Kathleen McCarty (R-38), who was excited to welcome the internationally successful business, and employment opportunity, to Waterford, presented store managers with a citation welcoming them to her district.
