2024 Center Line Rumble Strip Project in Beacon Falls, Seymour, Derby

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced that center line and shoulder rumble strip work will be performed on multiple routes, including in Beacon Falls, Seymour, and Derby, starting Monday, April 1, 2024 and continuing through Friday, October 11, 2024.

The affected local routes are:

  • Route 42 – Beacon Falls/Bethany – South Main Street # 2 To Service Road 703
  • Route 721 – Seymour/Beacon Falls – Route 67 To Old Turnpike
  • Route 853 – Derby/Ansonia – Service Road 727 To Route 115

Household Hazardous Waste and Paint Collection Scheduled for Saturday, April 27 in Ansonia

The Naugatuck Valley Council of Governments (NVCOG) and participating municipalities are sponsoring a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) and Paint Collection event on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ansonia Public Works facility, located at 1 North Division Street.

Early voting was approved by Connecticut voters in 2022. During the 2023 legislative session, the General Assembly authorized in-person early voting for elections held after April 1, 2024. Under this schedule, the first election utilizing early voting will be the Presidential Preference Primary on April 2, 2024.

The early voting dates for this election have been modified to reflect the Good Friday holiday and Easter Sunday. Early Voting will be held Tuesday, March 26 through
