DANBURY- State Reps. Michael Ferguson (R-138), Will Duff (R-2), Stephen Harding (R-107) and State Senator Michael McLachlan (R-24) hosted an informative pre-session legislative update on Monday night to discuss the upcoming General Assembly session which begins on February 7th.
Monday night’s pre-session town hall-style meeting provided the Danbury community with an open forum to freely ask questions to their elected lawmakers. The Danbury legislators talked about the state of Connecticut’s budget and how the current economic climate in the state needs to change and stop the chasing away businesses and state taxpayers.
“On the budget, we need to govern by holding the line on taxes and spending and show true leadership and courage,” said Rep. Michael Ferguson. “The General Assembly needs to delicately balance our government’s role in providing a safety net for our most vulnerable against the obligation to reduce the financial burden on the taxpayers and businesses in our state.”
