HARTFORD – Earlier this month, State Rep. Christopher Davis joined his colleagues in Enfield to take a tour of Phoenix Manufacturing, a women-owned business and a leading supplier of component parts for the aerospace industry.
Phoenix Manufacturing was founded 29 years ago by the Paluch family as a two-person machine shop and now employs over 60 people to make commercial and military aerospace components.
The tour was led by Owner and CEO Krystyna Paluch, a Broad Brook resident, her son Peter Paluch and her daughter Martha Prou.
“I want to thank the Paluch family for their commitment to the manufacturing industry and growing their business right here in Connecticut,” said Rep. Davis. “The manufacturing industry is booming throughout the nation and is one of the few growing industries in Connecticut. We need to continue to create policies that benefit the manufacturing industry and encourage more young adults to enter the industry.”
The Paluch family shared their company’s recent progress as a supplier to major aerospace companies and the difficulties of finding qualified employees. Phoenix Manufacturing recently opened a new facility on South Road in Enfield. More information about Phoenix Manufacturing can be found on their website, phoenix-mfg-inc.com.
