The Hartford Courant recently reported that over 1000 people died last year from drug overdoses – this number has tripled since 2012.
We are now seeing for the first time fentanyl-related deaths outnumber heroin-related deaths.
It is important that we come together as a community to learn how to prevent these deaths!
On March 22nd, the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services will be hosting a free Narcan training starting at 6:00 p.m. at the East Windsor Town Hall Annex.
The training will include:
– Overdose Prevention Strategies
– Signs and Symptoms of Overdose
– How to Administer Naloxone
– Good Samaritan Law
– Support Information and Resources
All interested residents from East Windsor and Ellington are encouraged to register and attend. *Registration is required.
Narcan kits are available to those who are uninsured!
Call 860-698-1450 to register by March 19th
