Rep. Cheeseman Provides Legislative Update to Salem Seniors

SALEM – This morning local seniors gathered at the Salem Volunteer Fire Department  to hear from their local elected officials, Salem First Selectman Kevin Lyden and State Representative Holly Cheeseman (R-37).

Rep. Cheeseman provided information on the 2018 major acts affecting Connecticut’s seniors (find a copy here), as well as her contact information and urged attendees to reach out anytime with questions or concerns related to state government. She also shared what’s been happening at the Capitol since the conclusion of the 2018 Legislative Session and answered questions. Issues that were discussed in particular included property taxes, business grants, and retired teachers’ retirement funds.
