Rep. Cheeseman Meets with Thames River Civil Air Patrol Squadron on Tour of the Captiol

HARTFORD – State Representative Holly Cheeseman (R-East Lyme & Salem) met with the Civil Air Patrol Squadron CT-075 at the State Capitol yesterday, April 18, 2018. The 8th grade cadets from the Thames River Composite Squadron, the official Auxillary of the US Air Force, toured the Capitol and met with Rep. Cheeseman in the House Chamber for a discussion on state government and leadership.

The Civil Air Patrol carries out emergency services and disaster relief missions nationwide. Civil Air Patrol’s cadet program trains youth through a curriculum that focuses on leadership, aerospace, fitness and character. Many of the nation’s astronauts, pilots, engineers and scientists first explored their careers through CAP.
