HARTFORDState Representative Holly Cheeseman (R-37) achieved a perfect one-hundred-percent voting record during the regular and special 2017 Legislative Sessions according to statistics compiled by the House Clerk’s Office.

This year, Rep. Cheeseman cast her vote on 417 separate pieces of legislation that made it to the House of Representatives – therefore not missing a single one. Perfect attendance is a very difficult thing to achieve, with only about 20% of legislators able to do so in any given year.

“My constituents of East Lyme and Salem put their trust in me to represent their interests at the capitol,” Rep. Cheeseman said. “I am proud to have achieved a perfect voting record on their behalf this session. I take my role as their voice in the House of Representatives very seriously and work diligently to serve them to the best of my ability. I made sure to be at the Capitol any time we were called into session during this long and difficult year for Connecticut’s state government. I thank my constituents for not only supporting me, but allowing me this opportunity to fulfill the responsibilities of their state representative.”

Rep. Cheeseman represents the 37th district in the General Assembly and is a first-term Republican lawmaker who serves on the legislature’s Finance, Revenue & Bonding, Energy & Technology and Higher Education & Employment Advancement Committees. She also works on the Commission for Economic Competitiveness, Pay Equity Working Group and Tourism Caucus.

The next regular session of the legislature will convene in February 2018.
