As many of you may already know, Connecticut is expecting a snowfall of 3-6 inches tomorrow, Saturday, December 9th. As a result, the 29th Annual Niantic Light Parade has been postponed from tomorrow to Sunday, December 10th at 5:00 p.m. to ensure another spectacular event that everyone in the community can attend!

The parade, which has been widely regarded as the largest and longest running holiday light parade in New England, will begin from the top of the hill near Frosty Treat/Casablanca Wicker, and make its way down to Pennsylvania Avenue.

It will include a chili/chowder cook-off, ice sculptures, a magician, balloon creationist, face painting, crafts, commemorative ornaments for sale, and more! To learn more, please visit the parade’s Facebook page.

East Lyme Parks and Recreation encourages residents to call 860-739-5828 with any questions regarding the event.

I hope to see you there!
