Please know that tomorrow, Wednesday February 14th, Millstone Environmental Lab personnel will be conducting a training event to practice the safe firing of emergency, hand-held and aerial signal flares. Signal flares are part of the safety equipment maintained onboard Dominion Energy vessels in case of a boating emergency and are required by the U.S. Coast Guard.
You may see these flares as you look towards Millstone from your property. The drill will be conducted at the southern end of Millstone Point between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Local law enforcement and the U.S. Coast Guard are also being notified.
