NEW LONDON – Last weekend, Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Southeastern Connecticut cut the ribbon on their new home at 492 Montauk Avenue in New London. State Representatives Holly Cheeseman (R-East Lyme) and Mike France (R-Ledyard) were in attendance to show their support and appreciation for all that the Care Net does to support their constituents in the region.

Care Net is a community-focused, nonprofit organization that provides assistance, hope and help to individuals who are currently experiencing or believe that they might be faced with an unplanned pregnancy. They offer free and confidential pregnancy testing, limited OB ultrasounds, and many other services. For more information, please visit www.carenetsect.org, email info@carenetsect.org or call 860-448-2990.

“It is so important that women of all ages know they have somewhere to turn, someone to provide help, if they need it,” said Rep. Cheeseman. “We are lucky to have this Care Net Resource Center in Southeastern Connecticut, and I hope that I can help spread the word so that all expecting parents are aware of their options!”

“Care Net has been a presence in New London for many years,” said Rep. France. “Transitioning from rented space to one that they own establishes a permanent location for expectant mothers to receive assistance during their pregnancy. The new building provides a significant increase in size, enabling greater ability to serve those in need. I thank all of the volunteers who gave of their time and talent to make this grand opening possible and the staff for their continued dedication to serving our community.”
