Cromwell – State Representative Christie Carpino and State Senator Paul Doyle toured Prides Corner Farm and Garden’s Dream Farm and discussed the legislative landscape impacting the farming community. Prides Corner Farms is a regional grower throughout New England, offering over 2,200 varieties of plants. Garden’s Dream, offers annuals, perennials, shrubs and naturally grown vegetable and herb plants. Both farms acquired their land in Cromwell from the Millane family.

The Millane family has shown their dedication to sustainable agriculture in our state by arranging for Prides Corner and Garden’s Dream to come to Cromwell. Agriculture is an important economic driver and adds to our quality of life in Connecticut.  I’d like to welcome both of these new businesses and wish them many years of great success,” said Rep. Carpino.

“It was my pleasure to tour two agribusinesses businesses in Cromwell – Prides Corner and Garden’s Dream. I am pleased that these two new businesses came into Cromwell to preserve a longstanding business location.  As Millane Nurseries provided much for the residents of the Greater Cromwell area, I hope that Prides Corner and Garden’s Dream will continue Millane’s great legacy for many years to come.  Best of luck with your new businesses,” said Sen. Doyle.
