CROMWELL – State Representative Christie Carpino (R-32) and State Senator Paul Doyle (D-9) toured The Computer Company and Sargis Associates, both of which base their operations in Cromwell.

“Small businesses such as The Computer Company and Sargis Associates are the types of employers which provide high quality jobs to Connecticut residents and local and state economy,” stated Representative Carpino. “As a legislature we must create policies that make our state attractive for businesses to operate in and grow. Face to face conversations with local business help to understand how best to promote an environment that is conducive to talent acquisition and retention.”

“Speaking directly to some of the 9th District’s small business owners in Cromwell was an invaluable experience, providing us with the insight on how we can better represent them in the General Assembly,” said Senator Doyle. “Small businesses are the engine that drives our economy forward, and I want to thank The Computer Company and Sargis Associates for taking the time to show us around their impressive facilities.”

The Computer Company serves as an Information Technology solutions service to clients spread across the greater Hartford area. In addition to providing network support, the company constantly combats modern computer hacking techniques that are often targeted to steal data and disable servers by using cutting edge backup support systems.

Sargis Associates is an engineering firm that supports gas pipeline infrastructure throughout the state.
