I wanted to share this fun and educational activity for the whole family. For the fifth year in a row, children and their families will be able to tour some of Connecticut’s key government buildings, including the State Supreme Court.
Spend some time exploring the seat of state government through tours of Connecticut’s Supreme Court, State Capitol, the Museum of Connecticut History and Connecticut’s Old State House.
The annual ‘Day Trips with Kids’ program is scheduled for Aug. 5th.
Activities include:
Lunch will be available for purchase at the Legislative Office Building’s cafeteria from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Parking for the State Capitol, the Supreme Court and the Museum of Connecticut History is available in the Legislative Office Building garage located off of Armory Road.
Connecticut’s Old State House is a short walk through Bushnell Park. They also offer validated parking for $5.00 at the Constitution Plaza South parking garage and the State House Square garage.
A schedule for the Day Trips with Kids program is posted on the Judicial Branch’s website at http://www.jud.ct.gov/
If you would like to set up a tour of the Capitol at another time, contact my office in Hartford at 860.240.8700 and I’d be happy to set it up.
Happy Summer!
