CROMWELLState Representative Christie Carpino (Cromwell/Portland) and Mayor Enzo Faienza recently toured Carey Manufacturing. The company’s 30,000 square foot state of the art manufacturing facility produces catches, latches, and handles for military, aerospace, computer, automotive, and consumer applications.

“Carey Manufacturing is one of Connecticut’s most prominent manufacturers and serves a large client base spanning multiple industries. The company prides itself on advancing abilities and talents of its incredibly diverse workforce – with a strong focus on utilizing emerging technology. Carey Manufacturing is a great neighbor to our community and I am confident they will continue to craft quality products for years to come,” said Rep. Carpino.

While touring the facility Rep. Carpino and Mayor Faienza were provided an overview of the company’s corporate structure, robust product line, and operational logistics. A highlight of the tour was gaining an understanding of Carey’s commitment to restoring it’s manufacturing from China back to Connecticut.

Cromwell Mayor Enzo Faienza said, “It was a pleasure joining State Representative Carpino in touring Carey Manufacturing. It’s great to see a company in our very own Town that is successful and using state of the art technology for their manufacturing processes. It was a wonderful experience and I was able to learn so much.”

“We are grateful for the time Rep. Carpino and Mayor Faienza investing in touring Carey Manufacturing and listening to our business concerns. It is critical that our legislators understand that rising energy costs, rising labor costs and other regulatory burdens make it difficult to grow and flourish in Connecticut. We need to have legislators working with business, especially manufacturers, to implement public policy that helps us grow high paying jobs,” stated Paul S. Lavoie of Carey Manufacturing.
