HARTFORD – State Representative Mitch Bolinsky (R-106) was visited on Thursday by about 40 fourth-graders from St. Rose of Lima School in Newtown. The school group took a tour of the Capitol complex, learned how a bill becomes a law and brushed up on Connecticut history. On the floor of the House of Representatives, the classes asked Rep. Bolinsky several very insightful questions, learned how he serves each of them and the Newtown community and how voting works in the House chamber. Bolinsky then used a recess to provide each student a turn at the Speaker’s podium. “The students of St. Rose are so bright and curious that their visits are among my most fun days every year. It’s exciting to spend quality time with the young minds that will ultimately grow up to lead Connecticut. I’m very thankful to them, the staff and volunteers from St. Rose for visiting me in the House of Representatives and wish them the best as they head into summer,” said Bolinsky.
