Hartford – Students from Newtown Middle School’s 7th Grade recently visited the State Capitol. The students were invited to the Captiol in order for them to gain an understanding of the state run legislature and the workings of state government as a whole.

State Rep. Mitch Bolinsky reflected on the visit and said the following, “Nothing better than a visit from Newtown’s future leaders on the floor of the House of Representatives. Thanks to Newtown Middle School’s 7th-Graders for their energy, interest and great questions; to their teachers, Ms. Oliver, Ms. Contra, Ms. Stevens and Ms. Musco; to the parents and staff chaperones, fellow Representative JP Sredzinski; and, as always, the League of Women Voters tour guides for a wonderful day at the Capitol!”
