“Working to increase educational resources for our students and teachers is a top priority of mine in Hartford,” said Rep. Ackert, a member of the legislature’s Education Committee. “The Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance is a great partner and advocate for children throughout the state and our local communities. I look forward to continuing our work on behalf of our children next legislative session.”

Rep. Ackert worked with the Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance this year to pass legislation improving early childhood education, nutrition and safety.

“As a member of the Education Committee, Tim voted in favor of bills that were important to us in the early childhood world. He’s always been accessible at the Capitol and he maintains strong ties to the Coventry and Vernon early childhood communities,” added Merrill Gay, Executive Director of the CT Early Childhood Alliance.

The Connecticut Early Childhood Alliance is a statewide organization founded in 2002 and works with lawmakers to shape policy for children ages birth to eight.
