Public Hearings: Insurance Rate Hikes

The Connecticut Insurance Department (CID) will be conducting public hearings this week to give consumers the opportunity to express their concerns about proposals to increase insurance rates from Anthem, ConnectiCare, and Aetna.
Insurance companies must go before CID to request a rate change, and then CID has the authority to reject or modify the rate change request.
If you believe these rate increases will have a negative impact on you and your families please attend the public hearings this week. Your voice can make a difference.
PUBLIC HEARING INFO
August 3rd at 9:00 a.m. – Anthem Health Plans Hearing
August 4th at 9:00 a.m. – ConnectiCare Insurance Company
August 4th at 1:00 p.m. – Aetna Insurance Company of CT
Location: Insurance Department, 153 Market Street, 7th Floor Hearing Room, Hartford. There is validated parking for visitors using the Morgan Street Garage.
Those who cannot attend the hearing may also submit written testimony at www.ct.gov/cid or by mail at P.O. Box 816, Hartford, 06142-0816.
