I’m sending a quick note about a subject that’s gained a lot of attention over the last few months—a ban on gas-powered vehicles.

State Rep. Craig Fishbein maintained tradition and continued to promote literacy by visiting three schools in his district to take part in Read Across America Day events.  Despite a slight delay due to scheduling conflicts with the in-session legislature, Rep. Fishbein was able to visit Amy Mackay’s 5th grade class at Middlefield Memorial School, and Elly Fitzpatrick’s 3rd grade class at Mary Fritz Elementary School and Francesca Hart’s 5th grade class at Pond Hill Elementary School in Wallingford.

This morning, Wallingford’s legislative delegation presented official state citations honoring former Mayor William Dickinson and long-time administrative aide Joan Stave for their more than 4 decades of service to the people of Wallingford.
It was nice to see so many residents and members of the council there to celebrate and honor their tremendous achievement.
Mayor Dickinson’s 40 years in office is impressive, but Joan’s 44 years of service to our town is absolutely incredible!
Congratulations
