Thank you to everyone who raised concerns recently about traffic and road flooding along Route 39. I’ve reached out to the Connecticut Department of Transportation to get some answers to your questions. The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge deck strip patch membrane overlay project will begin on I-84 in Danbury on April 8, 2024. Depending on location, traffic patterns will be set at either 8:00 p.m. or 9:00 p.m. This project consists of the rehabilitation of eleven (11) bridges from Exits 3 to 7 on I-84 in Danbury. The project scope consists of milling, drainage upgrades, concrete deck repairs, and paving.
